As a company owned and managed by Realtors, Garrett Hand and Mike Kemper wanted to fill a missing link in the inspection industry. After working with 100’s of inspectors and reading reports, we felt the message from the inspector to the home buyer or seller was lost. From the beginning, Elite Inspecton Group (EIG) sole purpose is to service the needs of home buyers and sellers. Mike Kemper, from Shreveport, LA, started in the Real Estate industry by chance. After leaving college and moving to Bellingham, WA, Mike and his wife Wendy, also of Shreveport, owned a retail store. After several years in the business, Mike and Wendy wanted to move closer to home and chose to make their new home in Frisco, TX. In order to move, the Kempers needed to sell their retail store. However, after four months of listing with a local commercial broker and having no luck, Mike took it upon himself to call other small business owners in the area to market the business. He sold the company in only 40 days. Unbeknown to him, this would be his first
transaction in the Real Estate industry.
After moving to Frisco, Mike consulted with a top Realtor in the area and began his career in 2005 with Keller Williams Realty. After eight years in the industry and seeing a niche in the market that was lacking customer service, expertise, and professionalism, Mike partnered up with another local Realtor , Garret Hand, and formed Elite Inspection Group.
After Graduating Angelo State University, Garrett Hand was promoted to VP Branch Manager at 25 years old. During his time with Bank of America he was ranked in the top 1% nationally as a manager. Garrett got into real estate after his friend Mike Reese and Team Leader sold his house on a bet. Once Garrett saw the impact a great agent can have on the transaction and the relationships that come from it, he made the decision to help people with their biggest investment.
Garrett and Mike met while working on the same team selling houses. There, the two realized that they could directly take out the #1 deal killer in the home sales process which is the inspection. If you were to ask Garrett today, “What is missing from every inspection?”, he will tell you, “communication”. His goal is to help people understand the process of the inspection and to know, without a doubt, they are making a good investment. Garrett has been on the loan side of the process, the real estate process and now with the inspection side. You will truly be informed and be able to make the best decision for your family.
